I had the privilege of interviewing one of my favorite professors, Professor Jinsoo An. He is an Associate Professor at the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures and part of the Korean Program at UC Berkeley (Cal). I interviewed him through email on 24 June 2020 on his journey as a Korean studies professor, what Cal offers concerning Korean studies, as well as profound insights on how to succeed in learning about Korea in academia. Professor An teaches classes on Korean cinema, literature, and culture.
